Experiments
In Feb 2026, I did daily reels and daily draw; in March I avoided 31 days of "No coffee". Now on April 1st, I'm starting #dailywriting, at least a few lines (min 5) on any topic.

The need for a system
To do anything consistently, we need systems to support us. This boils down to time and space, bit epistemological, or is it existentialism, or ontological? I know I'm throwing a few jargons, but I have been exploring these topics for a few years now. That is to explore:
- What is the nature of being?
- How one comes to existence?
- What is real and what gives us reality?
- What is truth?
Okay, now coming back to systems to help us do something consistently, in order to do that we need a system so that the "thing" can exist. For example, my game is to write every day at least 5 sentences for the whole of April. To make it happen, I need a time and place to sit and write, and equally important, have those writings exist in some place so that others can verify that the task is done. The second part is also required if you want to see that for yourself. Everyday, if you write and don't bother to store them, at the end of the month you will not be clear if you really did it for the whole month. Is that important? No, but from the context of the game, yes.
In the game, the main point is to have fun. If you are not having fun, then don't play this game, find a game that gives you joy. Find a game, then play as if your life depends on it. And remember, once the game is over, it was just a game.

Consistency and Friction
Yesterday, again, I missed writing—or rather, publishing—on this platform. In fact, I wrote more than five pages, but I can’t share them here as they are part of a book.
This makes me think about systems.
In order to make consistency work, we have to remove friction.
Here, to publish, I have to log in to my Ghost platform, which I can only do on a computer. I have not set that up on my mobile.
Since I now use an Android phone, some apps have compatibility issues, but I can use platforms like Google Docs.
Then what else? Topics?
I don’t need one; I can write about whatever comes to my mind at that point in time.
Motivation?
If you need motivation to do a task, then it is probably not worth doing.
What else? Time.
You always have time for things or people based on how important they are to you.
What stops us from being consistent?
Maybe we don’t do things if we don’t enjoy them.
Day 4 - April 04, 2026
Don't know what happened!- Wrote somewhere, I guess ..
Day 3 - April 03, 2026
Why WRITE?
I learned about the importance of writing from a friend/mentor, Navneet Bhushan, who is an expert in Innovation. As per him, the best way to think is to write. In fact, actually write. Not "typing" like what I'm doing right now. Even if you are typing, ensure that you don't stop and keep correcting the spelling, mistakes, or grammatical errors. The best way is to keep your head down, stare at your keyboard and start typing your thoughts. The act of typing slows you down and makes your thinking clearer. The best option is always a pen and paper. Invest in good quality pens and papers, buy from a good stationery brand. Most people think they can not write or do not enjoy writing, in my view it is just a bad quality pen. I'm not joking, try and see it for yourself. I have a Waterman Fountain pen, I bought the day I discussed starting a venture with my friend Kishore. So that way it is special. Another fountain pen is a Parker my birthday gift.
Over the years, my thinking has improved significantly. That has resulted in better decision-making. Better decision leads to better quality of life. So what is topping you to write? THINK.
Day 2 - April 02, 2026
Did not write.
Day 1 - April 01, 2026
Secret of consistency.
Today I'm going to write about how to do one thing consistently for, say, one month. It is all about Mindset. The first thing I tell myself is that all I have to do is "Do it for Today". No pressure of doing for, say, 7 days or 30 days.
Start on a good milestone, like the start of the week, Sunday to Saturday (best), or for 30-day/month streaks, start on the first of that month. Once you cross the halfway mark, the commitment builds up.
I don't make a big fuss if I miss a day.
The chances of success are high if you are doing it for yourself and not for any validation or approval from others or self.
